![]() ![]() Also, you can customize the wave type, and the frequency being input into the brain. I would highly recommended getting a Bellabee device which is about half as expensive as these other devices, extremely simple (so while the cord can break on it, if you're even remotely careful with the unit you won't have an issue). I haven't used neorhythm or Apolloneuro, or mendi, however I just glanced at their sites and they look like they just use variations of pemf technology and don't offer a ton of user customization and are a bit pricey. They're a bit more effective than the cheap neurofeedback devices too which is great. Not related to HEG, there are so many of these newish pemf/stim devices coming out. That said, if you don't need more blood flow there you don't want to reward more blood flow as it could give you a headache or other negative reaction. HEG devices can be incredibly helpful for people who need more blood flow, especially to the frontal lobes if that's the area the device you're using is designed to work on. They are very supportive and their training plan has served me really well so far (several hours of training in). I have done about 25 sessions of neurofeedback with practitioners before purchasing a 4 channel system from them. This price includes someone who will create a specialized training plan for you. In my area, I could roll the dice with a practitioner and get about 17 sessions for that money. ![]() I personally would recommend the 4 channel for 2k for convenience purposes. offers packages starting at 1.5k for a two channel system. Neurofeedback is expensive and I absolutely understand the desperation for a change but if you’re serious about it, you should just put the money down on your own system. It’s not as pretty as the mendi but it does the same thing. If you want an heg device and money is an issue, you can buy hegduino ( ) for about $70. This is all they’re capable of doing so they don’t have a broad range and I can’t speak from experience but I’m pretty sure you won’t get anything near the changes that sebern talks about. So, heg devices like mendi increase blood flow to the prefrontal cortex. Has anyone heard about these devices? I ordered both of them because I'm desperate - the Mendi isn't expected to ship until February 2021 but the NeoRhythm is coming on Tuesday. I was so happy to finally come across devices like these after thinking the Muse headband was the only thing out there. From reading the comments on his videos, I also learned about a device called Mendi that is in the works. It interests me because of the different settings with different stimulation frequencies. ![]() It uses pulsed electromagnetic field (PEMF) which is similar to TMS(?), so it alone is not a NF device. I came across a youtube video where a psychiatrist tries the Muse headband with a device called the NeoRhythm. All that came up for under $350 was the Muse headband (and Fisher Wallace ads) but reviews didn't seem so great. I've been desperately googling for at-home neurofeedback devices and the units/rentals are still quite expensive. I became really interested in neurofeedback after reading Sebern Fisher's Book "Neurofeedback in the Treatment of Developmental Trauma."Ĭost is the main reason that's preventing me from doing it. ![]()
